The Chosen

From the Gospel of Matthew Chapter 21: 19-46 But specifically 19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. And 42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

From the Gospel of John Chapter 6 Specifically 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. And 48 I am that bread of life. (you may want to pay close attention to) John 6:66 - From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. (You will have to read the whole of John chapter 6 to find out why they walked no more with Him. It is the most important part of the Bible.)

From the Gospel of Matthew Chapter 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. 14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

From the Gospel of Mark Chapter 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

From the Gospel of Luke Chapter 9:5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

From the Gospel of Luke Chapter 10:10 But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, 11 Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. 12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

From the Acts of the Apostles Chapter 13:50 But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. 51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.

The verses on this page are taken from the King James Bible but they are similar in the New Revised Standard Version, the Douay Rheims Bible and all of them. It is said that the Old Testament is revealed in the New Testament. You can read the prophets of the Old Testament and come to the same conclusion.

One of the last books in the Old Testament (and the Torah), the Book of Malichi clearly shows this. I recommend you read the whole book. It's only four short chapters. In Chapter 4 Malichi is saying in the end days God will send Elijah (Elias), where he shall come for the conversion of the Jews to the faith of Jesus Christ. This can also be confirmed with the Epistle of Paul to the Romans, Chapters 9, 10 and 11. Also in Revelation chapter 11 we see that God will send His two witnesses to Jerusalem during the 42 months of tribulations to prophesy clothed in sackcloth until they are killed 3 and a half days before the day of judgment. (Note, you may want to read both the King James Bible and the Douay Rheims Bible for comparison. The Douay Rheims Bible recognizes the two witnesses in Revelation 11 as Henoch and Elias.)

In John 6:44 Jesus is saying that no man comes to the Father except through Him.

So if there has been a chosen people in the last 2,000 years it is the people that chose the faith of Jesus Christ. Some may say that this is "replacement theology." But how can it be replacement theology when Jesus Christ, Himself was born into the House of David? Both Mary and Joseph were from the House of David. Paul was from the Tribe of Benjamin. The Apostles and most of the first Christians were Israelites. All 3,000 that the Apostles converted to Jesus Christ on the first Pentecost were Israelites. So the roots of the multitude of descendants from those first Christians are from Israelites. This has been the theology of the last 2,000 years. Anything else is revisionist theology.

But like Paul says in his letter to the Galatians, ancestry doesn't matter.

Galatians 6:12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. 13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. 14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. 15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. 16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. 17 From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. 18 Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

The Israel of God are those that bear in their body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

Galatians 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Galatians 3:29 And if you be Christ's, then are you the seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise.

As practicing Christians it is our duty to take the Word of Jesus Christ to all peoples and nations of the world, including the Jews, Hindus, Muslims and everyone. But not by force.

Feel free to share this with everyone you know. And please do.
